For these Candler Park clients, the style of the home they started with wasn’t what they ultimately wanted and they were left with two options: tear it down and start over, or build an addition in the back with a completely different style. They went with option two, and we set out to contrast the older craftsman home with a sleek, modern expansion.
In addition to a new aesthetic, the owners wanted to make more room for their family. The project consisted of adding three levels and 1,500 square feet of living space, including a master bedroom with second-story uncovered deck and a playroom in the new basement. While the two structures might look different from the outside, they both feel part of the same story.
